Pharmacology Adaptive Quiz:
On this adaptive quiz, I think something that went will is how long it took me to fully read, think through, and answer each question. My average time per question was right in the ballpark. Pharmacology is a subject that doesn’t come easy to me, so I would say just studying and becoming more comfortable with the content of this quiz is something that I could work on. My SMART goal for the next assessment would be to improve on answering select all that apply questions by taking my time to read through the question and answer options thoroughly, and to avoid distractions by taking a break when I feel like my brain needs it.
Adult Medical-Surgical Adaptive Quiz
Something that went well for this adaptive quiz is that I felt more confident in the content, and felt as if I was able to answer the questions with more ease than the Pharmacology assessment. I was able to finish this quiz with answering only 75 questions which is also an improvement from the first assessment. Something that I can work on and improve for the next assessment is to go with my first instinct and avoid changing my answers. I find that when I do this, my first instinct choice was usually correct and I regret changing my original answer.
Maternal Newborn Adaptive Quiz
I felt pretty confident while taking this quiz, since maternity content is fresh in my mind. My score wasn’t as high as I was hoping, but while I was reviewing my questions, most of the ones that I got wrong were under the category of “hard” questions. Something that I can avoid for my next assessment is any distractions while taking the quiz. I found during this assessment, that the sound of TV or other people talking often led me to loose my focus.
Pharmacology Practice A Quiz
I felt pretty confident while taking this quiz. Reviewing the same types of medications over the last few years in pharmacology and adult health helped me with answering these questions. I was happy with the score I got, and I feel myself getting better at answering these type of NCLEX/ATI questions. My goal for the next quiz is to take my time while answering the questions in order to prevent any silly mistakes.
ATI Pharmacology Practice B
For this exam, I felt pretty good as I was going through answering the questions. I sometimes tend to struggle with pharmacology but I feel like doing these ATI’s have been helping me. I got an 81% on this test and I feel pretty good about that score. I think for future pharmacology quizzes, I will really take my time and think through what the drug is, what it is used for, and any complications or adverse effects that should be noted.
ATI Comprehensive Predictor Practice A
I found this exam to be helpful because it included a bunch of different subjects in one quiz. I have felt myself improving through taking these ATI quizzes and I have gotten better at knowing how to answer NCLEX style questions. My goal for the next comprehensive quiz is to get a higher score by using my application skills of all the nursing knowledge that I have gained over the years.
ATI Pharmacology Proctored
I didn’t do as well on this assignment as I would have liked, however I know what to expect for next time and the remediation helped me pick out the subjects that I really need to focus on and study for future assessments. I think that this being a proctored exam added a little bit more pressure and may have caused some test anxiety, however for the next proctored exam I will remember to take a deep breathe and relax so that I can try to get a better score.
ATI Nursing Care of Children
I felt really good while taking this quiz. Since I am currently in pediatrics, all of this information is pretty fresh in my brain which helped me out a lot while I took this quiz. I did pretty well on both practice A and B and I am happy with both of my scores. I hope to continue to get better and improve on answering NCLEX style questions.
ATI Comprehensive Predictor Practice B
This assessment had 150 questions and I knew that it would take me a long time to complete so I gave myself small breaks whenever I started to feel distracted to make sure that I avoided making any silly mistakes. I did pretty well on this quiz and I was happy with my score. I am starting to feel more confident while taking these quizzes, and I think that the remediation paired with the frequent ATI assessments have helped a lot.
Kelly, since your reflections have not been composed as separate posts, I am not able to respond to individual posts and cannot determine whether or not you met deadlines.
I’m sorry, I thought that you wanted all of the reflections together so that they would be easier to find. I just continued to add onto the post as they were due, I am not sure how to fix it now.
