Paper #1:
There were many changes made, and differences between the first and second draft of my first paper. My first draft was very rough, and was basically just a collection of all my ideas thrown together in an essay. When editing my first draft, I looked for ways to transition to and from each of my ideas and subtopics, so that they would all flow together in my final essay. I added in more supporting points to back up my main ideas, and made sure that all the points I was making related back to my thesis. You can see by looking at my first draft that I didn’t have much of a introduction or conclusion. I went on to add these to my second draft, after receiving feedback about what the strongest points and arguments in my essay were. I have learned from my writing pieces in the past, that I tend to be wordy, and probably have some run-on sentences. Knowing this, I made sure to go through my essay and fix any run-ons I may have had, and made sure all of my sentences were one complete thought. By writing an outline, and two separate drafts, I have learned that writing as a recursive process has made it a lot easier for me to organize my ideas, and fully critique my work to make sure it is as good as it could be.

Paper #2:
When looking at the differences between my first and second draft, it is easy to see that I started with a very rough version of my paper, and didn’t exactly have all of my ideas together. In the first draft, I knew what point I wanted to get across, but didn’t have all the details I needed to support it. In the second draft, I worked to get my thoughts together in a way where my paper would make more sense, and to help support my argument.

Paper #3-
From the outline, first draft, and final draft of this paper, my writing evolved and significant and necessary changes were made in order to make the final draft as strong as it could be. I used my own revisions, and also the comments from other people in order to makes the changes that were needed in each of my drafts. I didn’t have an introduction or conclusion in the first draft of this paper, because I didn’t have an idea of how to open up my paper and introduce my thesis in a way that was clear and concise. However, after getting some feedback and having time to gather more of my thoughts and ideas together, it became much easier for me to write my introduction and conclusion. Writing as a recursive process, and planning out your writing instead of just trying to throw a draft together at once, has really helped me improve as a writer and has made my essays significantly stronger.
